Carrer Post

I would like to become a teacher for pre-school students. To do so I would have to go to college for 4 to 5 years and take certain courses. I would need to get my bachelor’s degree but in different states I would also need an associates’ degree. And in a number if states I would need a certificate from a nationally recognized authority. However, completing postsecondary course in a related subject is a plus. I would develop skills and watch them develop the joy for learning. Sometimes the job can be frustrating due to working with children whose intentions of the children not having the desire to learn or have behavioral problems. Preschool teachers often spend their day in a comfortable environment but often spend their day outside.

I would have many responsibilities, these would consist of:

• Demonstrating activities to preschoolers.

• Teach numbers, colors, shapes, and letters.

• Maintaining records of children.

• Teaching social skills.

• Working with other staff members.

• Read books to children.

• Teach personal hygiene and proper eating habits.

• Organize and teach activities including storytelling, arts and crafts, games, field trips, and music.

• Provide materials and resources for children.
